People's History Museum

The People's History Museum in Manchester is the UK's national centre for the collection, conservation, interpretation and study of material relating to the history of working people in the UK. It also includes the Labour History Archive and Study Centre.

It has an excellent collection of banners, posters, photographs and other materials related to the history of the Labour Movement.

The museum includes a section on Keir Hardie and the founding of the Labour Party as well as other materials from the period.

These are print blocks to be used by candidates in the 1906 election. The Barnard Castle reference is topical!
The women's suffrage campaign, which Keir Hardie supported.
The most visually stunning parts of the museum are the banners, of which there are many. They also have a conservation department.
